1992 - Deep Throat & Nice and Rough

29.08.1992, F63, DEEP THROAT
Support: NICE N ROUGH

I had befriended Nice and Rough and therefore could see the concert free of charge.
Nice and Rough presented their very first CD “Life is a monster” on that very night.

The band surrounding Rainer Riebel alias Rick Rough performed “roughly” 80 minutes and they were perceived quite nicely from the audience.

One could see that show and movement wise they have to improve a lot as long hair doesn’t automatically make a good rock act. Nevertheless they were impressive enough to receive an offer to play in the check republic after the gig.

Headliner Deep Throat was way better starting from the musical arrangements of the songs right down to the vocal ability of the singer Tommy Rinn who reminded me a lot of Meat Loaf at times.

Very interesting and straight to the point their lyrics made people think. The song “Chemical cat” about a cat used in a laboratory is still sending shivers up and down my spine.

To reach the audience is the main goal during a life performance and Deep Throat did just that.
