1990 - Spandau Ballet

15.01.1990, Stadthalle Offenbach: SPANDAU BALLET

Monday, not really warm outside but in here the attitude is hot already. Everybody is waiting for the “best looking band” in all the UK to come on stage.

After the cancellation of their concert originally scheduled for May 1985 it was getting quite quiet for the boys towards the end of the 1980s. It is no wonder that the venue is packed.

8.20p.m. – Spandau Ballet live! An unforgettable “dream and dance” evening is about to unfold. The boys are playing a lot from their current production “Heart like a sky” and it seems that everybody in here has got the album already.

For the next 2 ½ hours we will sing along, clap our hands and dream.

Spandau Ballet is excellent live, Stage- and Light wise the show is superb as well. Their number one hit “True” ends the show and transports people back to the reality of the harsh winter conditions waiting outside.

I would always go back to see them again!
