08.02.2019 The Station, Cannock: Walkway, The Howling Tides and Scarlet Rebels

To call this night phenomenal would be an understatement – this night was stellar, awesome and just superb.

It isn’t an everyday thing to see three bands that are all amazing in their own right and rock the venue.

Scarlet Rebels hail from south Wales and their music is uplifting, hard hitting and fun to watch and to listen to. When the drummer put a hole in his snare drum their vocalist doesn’t miss a beat and entertains us about how they have changed from ‘Void’ to Scarlet Rebels and after a few minutes they continue as normal with a new snare drum courtesy of The Station or perhaps one of the other bands playing here tonight.

They are a well-oiled rock machine and it showed, not surprising to hear that Scarlet Rebel has won the ‘Exposure Music Award’ for best rock act and best live act repeatedly.

The Howling Tides from Uttoxeter were next on the bill and apart from their sheer skill I was also blown away by how natural they were on stage. They simply had fun performing and the audience appreciated it.

Walkway came with an entourage of supporters and seeing them perform was a real treat.

Walkways musicianship is top notch and they performed mostly cover songs ranging from bands such as Golden Earring, Queen, ZZ Top, Kiss, Pink Floyd and Status Quo.

Their own material was superb too and it blended it well with the masterpieces of the aforementioned artists Walkway covered tonight.

Such a great night out. The Station is vastly becoming my favourite place to be

It was indeed a great night at a great venue! Thoroughly enjoyed Sacarlet Rebels and The Howling Tides- both awesome bands. A few too many covers from Walkway for me, but no doubting their musical abilities.
I hope you will come back to The Station on 11th May as I think you will really enjoy the bands on the WDFD Magnificent 7 festival.
