2007 - Pet Shop Boys

Image
27.10.2007 PET SHOP BOYS, support "Helium Jive" IMMA, Dublin "Helium Jive" was a one-man multi-instrument playing curiosity orignally from Los Angeles and he was dreadful from start to finish. I didn't like him one bit. The Pet Shop Boys together with three back-up singers and a bunch of dancers knew how to "rock" right from the start. They were brilliant. Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe showcased their greatest hist plus songs from their latest album PSYCHOLOGICAL like "Numb". "Sodom and Gomorra Show" and the brilliant "Minimal". They brought us back to the 1980s when they performed: "Rent", "Heartbeat" and, of course, "Westend Girls". Pet Shop Boys *** Helium Jive *

2007 - AIR SUPPLY

Image
Vicar Street/Dublin 25th October 2007 The Australian romantic pop duo (backed by a three piece band) AIR SUPPLY played Vicar Street and they sure knew how to create a great athmosphere. The sound was brilliant and the aging gentlemen gave their best to make the evening not only worthwile but unforgettable. Well, probably for those desparate looking woman who lined up by the stage to get their picture taken while the musicians were sweating away, the evening was unforgettable. Musically they were cool and they played all their hits from "Two less lonely people in the world" to "All out of love". Good **
